A newborn Caribbean flamingo chick sticks its head out of its mother's plumage Monday, June 28, 2004, at the San Diego Zoo. The San Diego Zoo is celebrating the birth of several flamingos, marking the first hatching in several years. The Zoo's flamingo lagoon recently underwent a major renovation thanks to a donation from Audrey Geisel and the Dr. Seuss Foundation.
